Terms of service

These terms are the agreement between VTS Services Inc. and the organizations and people who use KinAuth and this website.

The agreement

By using KinAuth or this website you accept these terms. An administrator who sets up or uses KinAuth for an organization accepts them for that organization and confirms they may. If the organization has signed a separate agreement with us, that agreement prevails where the two differ.

The service

KinAuth is an identity provider: it keeps an organization’s directory and signs its people in to its applications, with second factors including the KinAuth app. We may improve and change it; we tell administrators before a change that takes away something they rely on.

Your organization’s responsibilities

  • Choosing its administrators, and whom it invites, approves and recovers.
  • Keeping its credentials, recovery codes and devices safe, and telling us at once of any unauthorized use.
  • Having the right to put its people’s information in KinAuth, and telling them it does.
  • Its people’s use of KinAuth under these terms.

Acceptable use

Do not use KinAuth to break the law or anyone’s rights; do not try to reach another organization’s data, to get round a limit or a security measure, or to disrupt the service; do not test it for vulnerabilities without our written permission, though we welcome reports of any you find, at legal@kinauth.com; and do not resell it without an agreement with us.

Your data

The data an organization puts in KinAuth is its own. We use it only to provide the service, as our privacy policy says, and delete it as that policy says when the organization leaves.

Fees

Fees, if any, are those of the order or agreement the organization accepted.

No warranty

We work to keep KinAuth available and secure, but it is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the extent the law allows.

Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, neither we nor the organization are liable to the other for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or lost profits or data; and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amounts the organization paid us for KinAuth in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred US dollars if it paid nothing.

Suspension and ending

An organization may stop using KinAuth at any time. We may suspend access that breaks these terms or puts the service or others at risk, and tell the organization why unless the law forbids it. We may end the service for an organization with 30 days’ notice.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, USA. Any dispute goes to the state or federal courts of Washtenaw County, Michigan.

Changes and contact

If these terms change, we update this page and its date, and tell administrators of any change that matters before it applies. Questions: legal@kinauth.com. Last updated: October 7, 2026.
